It's Barbie Bish!

Nicki Minaj is all over!  I admit I wasn't into her at first BUT I had always admired her make-up.  I like that she does bold looks, they're so up my alley.  Lately she's strayed away from a completely bold eye opting for a neutral lid and glitter on her lower lashline.  I was all over it!  I filmed a tutorial for this look it should be up soon!  

I think people will like this look especially since I used a mix of MAC & Wet & WILD products that are easily assessable to everyone!

Gone But Not Forgotten....

 Today marks the 9th year since singer Aaliyah tragically lost her life and I can still remember that day like yesterday even tho I was young.  I could remember dressing up like her and parting my hair on one side to cover my eye just like her.  I used to steal my sisters Wet & Wild liners and lipsticks to copy some of her make-up looks from videos. One summer I spent with my grandparents in Guatemala and I LOVED Are you that somebody and they had no extended cable I used to sneak to my aunt's house like 5 blocks away just to see the video.  

 Its sad to see such a talented person lose their life.  You can only wonder where her career would've gone if she was still alive today.  She'd def. have changed the R&B music scene from what it is today.

Blessed

Twenty three years ago my mom was in labor 9 days late, but i was on my way.   The second child what would later on in life be 3.  Every year we get one day to ourselves.  OUR DAY! Today is different for me.  I wasn't in the same place i was last year and not the same place i'll be next year.  I've lost friends and made new ones.  What was yesterday is now gone.  Today i just find myself blessed.  Blessed to be alive.  Blessed to have a home.  Blessed to be able to eat.  Blessed to be surround by my family.  Blessed to be surrounded by love.  So this day in age where there are wars going on,  devastating natural disasters happening every day I just want to THANK GOD because without my faith in him i would be lost, My Mami and Papi because they have supported me thru the good and the bad and continually believe in me no matter what.  My sister and my brother for all the fights and laughs we have had.  and my friends who to me are an extension to my family who are there to pick me up when times are hard and let me know the real deal and put me in check.  Twenty three years i am blessed with and hopefully many more.
