Robin's Egg

You all don't even know how much I love this color.  My whole fall look has been deep, bold & bright lips & nude eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love a bold berry lip but this matte blue-green color gave me life.  I've been wearing this shadow like everyday. MAC really got it together with this color; the matte formula applies like butter, which is rare for mattes in general.  I got so many compliments of my make-up this day I decided to share.  Some lady at Baja Fresh even stopped to tell me how she loves to watch youtube vids & she tries to practice on herself!

Smoked Plum Paprika & Ballerina Lashes

Lately I've been wearing lashes everyday that i wear make-up.  A look isn't complete to me any more if I don't have them on.  For the past couple of weeks I've been using the same brand of lashes in different styles which I keep getting questions about.

& Lately I've been obsessed with orange eyeshadow tho you may not be able to tell because i haven't been able to post like I would like.

Now onto my new favorite Lashes...

I can not express how much I love these lashes.  Both are perfect for everyday wear.  The CM401's give lashes a bit more of volume, while CM405's add a bit of drama but nothing over the top. They are synthetic but are not shiny like some synthetic lashes tend to be.  & they are so lightweight.  You do not feel these lashes when they are on at all. The bands are thin & so are the fibers. Both boxes contain 10 pairs and is priced at $13.20 which is a steal because nowadays its hard to find lashes for less that $2.

Ballerina CM401

These lashes look very natural on me when i wear them.  They are about the same length as mine and blend right in when applied.  I like that the lashes are criss-crossed at the band. It adds to how natural they end up looking.

Ballerina CM405

 

 These are my go to lashes when I want a bit of drama but with out looking a like a drag queen during the day.  They tend to open up my eyes to look like doll eyes.  The quality is great. I've worn one pair like 5 times and they still look great.

 

The lash fibers are so thin that you can't see them in any of the closed eye pictures i took.  Only in the open-eyed pictures could tell that one lash is more dramatic than the other.

Late Night

Just a look I came up with while playing around with make-up in the middle of the night.  Several products I used, sat in my drawers for forever because I didn't like them when I got them.  But upon using them last night they grew on me.  I'm looking at you Revlon colorstay & MAC prep & prime powder =]I also tried out the Beauty Angel palette & I must say I'm impressed!  The shadows have a lot of dimension on the lid.  The color i used all over the lid was a dark brown in the pan but when I blended it, the color turned kinda plummy.  I actually liked the outcome.

Summer Brights & Beachy Waves

I've had my eye on Pink Bronze pigment FOREVER! But I never got around to buying it for one reason or another.  I remembered to pick it up yesterday & put it to good use today.  IDK how i've lived without this pigment in my life. Its GORGEOUS! Do yourselves a favor and pick it up!

SB: I LOVED my hair today!  It was so wavy & beachy. AND I almost bought one of those wands but discovered a way to get the same result without one. WOOT WOOT for saving $$.  I'm currently obsessed with a new root booster & texturizing spray. reviews to come soon!

Family Affairs

I have a long list of things to buy... Some are MAC shadows that are from the permanent collection.  MAC Star Violet used to be one of them but I recently got it! OMG! This color is gorgeous & goes on like a dream!  I can't believe I didn't have it before. I paired it with my favorite color Sketch... Its pure love!  All you hazel eyed beauties like myself NEED this combination... My eyes looked so green even my brother noticed! 

Nostalgia

I've always wanted an Bollywood inspired room!  I remember back in the day I saw a cribs episode that showed Beyonce's room and she had all these bright colors-- fuschia, magenta, purples, cyan -- You name it she had it BUT it was well put together.  She had bedazzled pillows & stuuf hanging from the ceiling IT WAS BOMB!  One day I will have that room! 

Anyways my make-up wasn't inspired from that BUT when i saw it finished it made me flashback ...

Giving Thanks

Just a quick look a threw together today.  I helped my mom cook all morning so I didn't have that much time to get ready BUT I liked the way this came out.  It would've looked much better if i had liner on but I was super jittery from drinking just coffee.  OH! So last night I was at Targhetto & I came across the E.L.F. 100 palette & snatched it up!  ALTHOUGH I was only looking for the 32!  I must say with a decent base the shadows are pretty good!  I'll keep playing around with it to give you guys the nitty gritty!

 

 

Nails Done, Hair Done, E'rythang Did ...

 Some girl in my class stopped me today & said "WOW! Your hair & make-up always look great!"

Even tho I have a 8am class Mondays & Tuesdays I still get done up.   There is nothing like having your hair & make-up done to start your day.  I always get questioned about how i do it or why i even bother.  Deep down inside I do it for myself.  I don't have to impress anyone BUT it does give you a certain pep in your walk.  I feel better when I know that i look better.  PLUS I'm a big believer in practicing what you preach.  I get stopped by girls all the time asking for tips & tricks.  If your in the beauty business, like myself,  who is going to take me seriously If I state that I'm a Make-Up Artist & Hairstylist if I don't look it.  I know I'm very picky with who I let near my face & hair,  If you don't look the part your not getting my $$$.

I've been all about simple yet dramatic looks lately.  I'm feeling the cold fall wind & have been all about smokey eyes for a week now.  (WARNING: next FOTD's will be smokey eyes =]) I'm all about sweeping one dramatic color on the lid & a matte skintone highlight to blend it out mascara & liner.  So simple yet gets the point across.  The other day Jess (check out her blog =]!) tweeted a picture where she used sketch on the lid & it looked fab.  I had to try it out this morning.
